Preparing for your dermal filler appointment

Here's how to get ready for your treatment at Beauty Spell Aesthetics.

Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
Skip certain supplements such as fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba for 5–7 days before treatment, if approved by your healthcare provider.
Review your medications. Let us know if you take aspirin, ibuprofen, blood thinners, or other medications. Never stop prescribed medications without your prescribing provider's approval.
Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and eat a balanced meal before your appointment.
Come with a clean face. Arrive with minimal or no makeup in the treatment area.
Plan around special events. Schedule filler at least 2–4 weeks before weddings, vacations, or important occasions to allow swelling and bruising to resolve.
Let us know about any recent illness. Contact us if you have an active infection, cold sore, dental infection, or feel unwell before your appointment.
Plan dental appointments accordingly. Let us know about recent or upcoming dental procedures so we can advise you on appropriate timing. (No dental appointments within 2 weeks of filler!)
Complete your health history. Submit all required intake forms before your visit so we can review your medical history and treatment eligibility.
